In July 2009, Naxos Audiobooks released Richard Armitage's recording of Georgette Heyer's Regency romance novel.

 

2010 - 2011, Santander television adverts.

Richard Armitage provides the voiceover for a series of UK television advertisements for the Spanish bank Santander, in a campaign that began in January 2010.

The first was for the bank's Zero account, the second was for its ISA, the third advertised its Switch service, and the fourth was for its Loyalty Tracker Bond. In January 2011, another advertisement for the Zero account was shown, followed in February by an ad for Santander's Loyalty Flexible Cash ISA.

   


2010, BBC Winter Olympics trailers.

Richard Armitage voiced a series of television and radio trailers for the BBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in February 2010.


 


2010, Alfa Romeo television advertisement.

Richard Armitage provided the voiceover for an advertisement on British television for Alfa Romeo's Mito MultiAir from mid-February. He also recorded a radio advertisement.

Richard Armitage narrated this documentary in the BBC's Natural World series, broadcast on 4th March.

 

   

2010, Too Poor for Posh School?, Channel 4, narrator.

In March, Richard narrated a documentary about a group of boys competing for a scholarship to Harrow School.

   

2010, Clarissa, BBC Radio 4, Robert Lovelace.

Richard starred in his first radio drama, an adaptation of Samuel Richardson's 1747 novel, Clarissa. The four part series was broadcast in March/April.

 

   

2010, Venetia audiobook.

In April 2010, Naxos Audiobooks released Richard Armitage's recording of Georgette Heyer's novel, his second audiobook for them.

 

2010, The Leaders' Debate on Sky, radio trailers.

Richard voiced two radio trailers that were heard on various commercial radio stations in the week of the second Leaders' Debate, broadcast on Sky News on 22nd April. (Three debates between the leaders of the three main UK political parties were held on television before the General Election on 6th May - Sky broadcast the second of these.)

The first trailer was heard in the days leading up to the debate, and the second trailer was heard on the day itself.

 

2010, General Election coverage on Sky, radio trailer

Richard Armitage recorded a trailer advertising Sky News' coverage of the General Election. It was heard in early May on various commercial radio stations.

 

2010, Jewellery at John Bull, radio commercials

Two radio commercials advertising jewellery for the Bedford jewellers, John Bull ran on HeartFM Bedford. The first was for palladium jewellery, and the second was for platinum jewellery.

   

2010, Homes from Hell, ITV1, narrator

Richard Armitage narrated a four part series about home-owners' property disasters, another programme from the producers of New Homes From Hell 2009, which he had also narrated. It was first broadcast in July.

 

 

2010, Sky Sports, radio and TV advertisements

Richard provided the voice for a number of advertisements for Sky's Sports channels that ran on various radio and television stations.

Some of them were part of a campaign fronted by Eric Cantona, among them the initial TV advertisement, and a later advert called The Word.

   

2010, The Convenient Marriage audiobook.

Richard's third Georgette Heyer audiobook for Naxos Audiobooks was released in August.

In September, Richard narrated a three part series about the training of junior doctors to become surgeons.

   

2010, Words and Music, BBC Radio 3, reader

Richard Armitage and Emila Fox were the readers in a programme of poetry, prose and music about the life of the city, first broadcast in September.

   

2010, Lost Land of the Tiger, BBC One, narrator

Richard narrated this three part series about the search for tigers in the remote Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. It was first broadcast in September.

   

2010, ActionAid video, narrator

Richard narrated a short video appeal, Siana's story, for the British charity ActionAid. (The video is also available on the charity's You Tube channel.)

   

2011, Elsa: The Lioness that changed the World, BBC Two, narrator

Richard Armitage's second narration for the BBC's Natural World series was first shown in February.

   

2011, HMS Ark Royal, Discovery UK, narrator

In early 2011, Richard Armitage narrated an eight part series about the Royal Navy's aircarft carrier, HMS Ark Royal.

 

2011, Pilsner Urquell advertisement

Richard Armitage provided the voiceover for 'Book of Legends', an on-line advertisement for a Czech beer.

   

2011, Trouble in Lemur Land : Phantoms of the Forest, Eden, narrator

A film by Erik Patel about the silky sifaka, an endangered species of lemur.

   

2011, 125 Years of Wimbledon: You Cannot Be Serious, BBC Two, narrator

On the eve of the 125th Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships in June, the BBC broadcast this documentary about the history of the tournament.

 

2011, LG Optimus 3G advertisement

An advertisement for a Smartphone shown in British cinemas in July 2011.

 

2011, Sky Sports HD advertisement

Richard provided the voiceover for another advertisement for Sky's Sports channels that was seen on British TV in August.

   

2011-2013, Fraud Squad, ITV1, narrator

In August/September 2011Richard Armitage narrated a two part documentary series about the Fraud Squad of the City of London Police as they investigated a huge share scam. Further episodes were screened in 2012 and 2013.

   

2011, Leopards of Dead Tree Island, National Geographic Wild, narrator

A documentary about three leopards living in the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana that was shown around the world on National Geographic Wild.
